This year, our joint summer outing was on the agenda—a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, look back on the past year, and gather new impressions.

The day began in a familiar atmosphere in our workshop. Over breakfast together, we reviewed the current year, exchanged ideas about completed projects, new challenges, and many shared experiences. This relaxed gathering was the ideal way to get in the mood for the rest of the day.

The trip then took us to Mannheim, where we took part in a guided tour on the theme of industrial culture in the commercial port area. During the tour, we gained exciting insights into the development of the Port of Mannheim and its significance for the economic development of the region. It became clear what an important role the port has played for trade, industry, and logistics over many decades and continues to play today. In addition to historical background, the focus was also on technical developments, the architecture of the port facilities, and changes in the world of work.

Our trip ended on a high note with dinner together at the revolving restaurant in Mannheim’s telecommunications tower. In a pleasant atmosphere with an impressive view over the city, we brought the day to a close together and took the opportunity to enjoy many good conversations.

Our summer outing showed once again how valuable shared experiences outside of everyday working life are. They strengthen team spirit and provide space for exchange, new impressions, and fresh motivation for the tasks ahead.
